Agustin "Gus" Santana
Bass
Born in Chicago Gus has been a musician most of his life.
Raised in a
house where music was a part of life, everything he listened
to, became
an influence to him. Music from The Who, Chicago, to Kiss
and the
Police, were just some of the music playing on the radio in
his youth.
Later he discovered he really enjoyed listening to The Clash,
The
English Beat, Depeche Mode and Metal bands like, Iron Maiden
and The Scorpions. Music, new and old, will always influence
a
songwriter. Gus, who considers himself a songwriter, loves
the new music of The Foo Fighters, Enanitos Verdes, and Café
Tacuba. His influences had helped him to write music for the
rock band Epica and the very successful Planeta De Crystal.
Performing with Epic, gave Gus the chance to learn while performing
with
groups like, Café Tacuba, Mana, Botellita De Jerez,
and ElTri and the
English band Great White. With Planeta he also had the opportunity
to
perform with Moenia, Panteon Rococo. He has taken his performances
to Mexicanos in North Carolina, Indianapolis, Detroit and
Los Angeles
California.
Planeta's music has given Gus the opportunity to use many
of his
experiences to develop a unique style and to be recognized
as a songwriter.
This style of music has been enjoyed through out the world,
where he
hopes he can take the music of Los Pecados De Maria
